Blog #8

Welcome to Lauren’s Life, a blog where I fill you in weekly on my life as a high schooler in SB, as well as exploring my interests varying from cooking to architecture. Here’s a little insight to who I am. My name is Lauren and I’m 15, I’ve lived in Santa Barbara my whole life and I currently attend SBHS. I’m on the girls varsity golf team and am a part of the multimedia arts and design academy at my school.

These past 2 weeks were Winter Break and I had a great time with friends and family. I did so many fun things that I'd love to tell you all about!

One day, I hung out with my friend Kara who lives on the Mesa. We biked had a pretty lazy day but went out for breakfast and then lunch. On our ay to breakfast, we saw a little puppy running though the street alone and decided to follow it to ensure it got home safely. We followed it to the Douglas Family Preserve but lost it and decided to leave. Later though, on our way back from lunch we passed a lost dog sign and realized it was the same dog. We called the number and told the owners where we last saw the dog and thanks to our call, they found their puppy that same evening and we were so glad that the dog was finally home safe.

For Christmas, my family went to visit my grandparents who live down in LA. It was nice to see the family and I had a lovely time. On our way back home, we stopped for lunch in Malibu at one of our favorite places, Paradise Cove. It was such a pretty day considering the days leading up to it were quite gloomy. I had a great lunch and it was the perfect end to a great few days.

On one of the last days of break, I went on an awesome hike with my friends. It was the perfect weather for one and it felt great to get some exercise. It was so pretty and I had lots of fun. Above is a picture of my friend leaping in the air over some mud!

I'm grateful for all my family and our memories and I'm glad I could share them with you! Thank you so much for reading my eighth blog post! I’ve had fun watching this blog evolve and connecting with my readers! So sad that this is my final blog post but I hope you've enjoyed them as much as I loved making them!
