Blog post #7

Welcome to Lauren’s Life, a blog where I fill you in weekly on my life as a high schooler in SB, as well as exploring my interests varying from cooking to architecture. Here’s a little insight to who I am. My name is Lauren and I’m 15, I’ve lived in Santa Barbara my whole life and I currently attend SBHS. I’m on the girls varsity golf team and am a part of the multimedia arts and design academy at my school.

This weekend was my birthday and I turned 16! I had such an incredible time with my friends and family so I can't wait to tell you all about it.

On Friday afternoon, my cousin drove up to visit me which was so nice because I love it when I get to see her. We went downtown to do some shopping and it was a nice start to my bday weekend. That nigh we got sushi (which is my favorite food) and watched Almost Famous which is my all time favorite movie. It was such a great night.

The next morning, I got croissants and a chai tea latte from Renauds which was delicious and then I got ready for the day. I later went shopping with my friends and had lunch downtown too. It was lots of fun but I had to get home to get ready for my birthday dinner. I went to Arnoldi's with my close friends for dinner to celebrate my birthday. It was such a fun night even though it was super cold. I got the best pasta I couldn't have asked for a better time!

After dinner I went to my friend Kara's house where my parents were all hanging out. We went in the hot tub and talked for a while which was perfect considering it was basically freezing outside. Then at around midnight, we went home and I fell straight asleep.

That day was my birthday. Kara and her family brought over donuts and coffee for breakfast and we 3watched tv together. Then I opened presents and hung out with my cousin before she had to leave. Later that night I went on the trolly of lights tour with my friends which was the perfect end to a great day.

I'm grateful for all my family and our memories and I'm glad I could share them with you! Thank you so much for reading my seventh blog post! I’ve had fun watching this blog evolve and connecting with my readers! I can't believe I'm almost done with these blogs but I hope you've enjoyed them as much as I love making them!
